My card entry to the first 2017 CAS Challenge - CAS410 - Show Me Your New.
Don't let the patterned paper in my background fool you. The little 4x4 scalloped card nestled in the middle next to the "new to me" SimonSaysStamp stencil isn't to fancied up. Inspired by the incredible talent of Kristina Werner, instead of masking and watercoloring as Kristina did, I used a stencil to create my trees and then cut them out before positioning them. I sponged ink to get a gradient color and then drew my swag across the tree(s) with a Copic mulit-liner 0.3. I also used some Copic Spica pens.
Thanks to so many in the lovely community of card makers who inspire me each day with their beautiful work. I hope I've inspired you to try something "new" too.
Blessings,
Susie ~

I love your trees! The sponging creates beautiful shading and your hand drawn garlands are fantastic! I really like the stitched and scalloped edging around your card base too!

Oh, Susie, this card is amazing, and I LOVE that you used a stencil AND drew your own swag! Beautifully done, sweet friend, and you continue to inspire me. Oh, that we could spend a day or two just sitting and playing together...and of course, laughing and enjoying a cup of tea! Hugs and love, my friend!! xoxo
