 | | Todays challenge - to revisit a challenge from 2016. I decided to use one from just before I joined SCS instead of re-doing one I'd already tried. This is from 1-11-16 (making shaped cards) in honor of my Dear friend Ingo (a colonel in the German Air Force) whose birthday is 1-12 and LOVES all things southwest.
Using the DTP method, I dragged my fluid chalks pads across a piece of glossy stock allowed to dry then buffed to a glossy sheen with a tissue. Inked my ancient stamp and quickly realized the rubber had gotten too dry over the years to take ink well - SO spent quite awhile 'reconditioning the rubber" by rubbing a white gum eraser over it until it started to develope some tooth again. Re-inked it with black pigment & overstamped my colored bg then embossed with black powder. I folded my cardstock to hinge at the top tand fussy cut the rest of the image. To finish I tied on Gold cording strung with turqoise & silver beads. |
