What a great way to end a year...warm and cozy and with friends. Glad I finally have time again to card it up again. Join us t-potters this week as we treat each other and tickle each other with our cards.
All about quilts. Homemade ones are the bestest. A couple I have had and loved from grandmothers, warm and heavy cozy. our favorites when it come to cold winter days. I remember my daughter had a quilt from her grandma since she was born took it everywhere that blanket...when she got older it was getting sooo faded and tattered, she made another blanket for her and used a part of the old one in one corner,so she could still smell it and feel it, was such a neat idea. The love in quilts so neat.
This little quilt is such 1 inch square punches, glued onto cardstock and then ran that through a EF. Added the embossed heart and sewed little "ribbons" on the corners....was going to tie bows, but cut the string ahead of time and cut them too short. was from a multicolored roll and did not want to have to unravel a bunch more to get to the blues again so thought the one strip cut into 4 should be good..lol..oh well the little knots are cute too. Then just scored the couple lines between the sentiment, added the Lacey border on the bottom with my edge punch and with a marker added the dashes for faux sewing look. Want to know whomever get s this they are amazing...actually guys tour whole group is...HUGS to all and thanks for the visit..:0)

Your cosy quilt in winter colours is just lovely, Wanda, and I think the twine sewed on like that looks neat... and I understand totally on the getting to the right colour in a multicolour yarn. The little embossed heart looks like cross stitch, sweet. And thanks for sharing such great memories, extra cookies for you for sure.

WOW - this card is amazing!! I love the lace border with the tiny pearls, your quilt squares are so pretty and goes perfectly with those ef - the heart is the special touch!!! Going into my faves!

I can't believe how many beautiful quilt cards have taken the gallery by storm. This is another one. I love the blue and white colour combo and how you tied them all together with embossing. Your faux stitching is impeccable! so even and those little knots on the corners are perfect oo.

I am partial to anything with blue in it. Your lovely quilt looks so delicate yet so warm and full of love. the blue knots and embossed heart are a nice embellishment. And I would like to add that you and this wonderful card are also amazing. Thanks for sharing your memories.
