I loved to make those lanterns, I've chosen for a Chines New Year card, with a dragon on the inside and sticker scripts (I'm not sure those are Chinese...) I followed the explanations from Sabrina and just added the red and black wool to make them look Chinese.
The frame is made from 4 layers red and black linen paper and the middle is DP

These are just brilliant, Anita! Very Chinese/oriental looking, and I certainly wouldn't know the difference if the script letters you used weren't Chinese. The red and black and gold is a perfect colour combination. Thanks for playing along!

Oh so pretty Anita! Love that you brought the lanterns inside the card too. Yes this is definitely authentic Kanji (Chinese & Japanese are pretty much interchangeable). When I lived in Japan I actually learned to read alot of it but alas 50 years away and the mind forgets . . .

Your card is as beautiful inside as out! I love the way you make it so whole looking - as a continuous design. The framing, gold and black accents, and beautiful DP make this one gorgeous card!
