I needed one more Christmas card for some friends whom we had somehow overlooked. Thankfully, my mom can hand-deliver it tonight, so it won't be late! I used my MISTI to help me position the greeting stamps onto a piece of vellum I'd cut to 4x5.25". (I don't trust myself stamping on a slick surface like vellum without smearing, so I am forever grateful for my MISTI!) I stamped the words using Archival Jet Black ink, and heat set everything so the ink wouldn't smear. I colored the insides of the hearts with a red water-based marker, coloring on the backside of the vellum. To attach the vellum to the patterned paper, I first used a fine-tip applicator bottle to apply tiny dots of glue to the back of the vellum, hiding it behind the bold letters. When that had dried, I sewed around the vellum with my sewing machine and some burgundy thread. Finally, I attached the card front to my A2 card base.
