This is my card for CC614. Maura is our hostess and she has chosen black, gold and white. Dessert is something sparkly.
These colors spoke New Year's or a celebration to me. So, that's the route I took. With my sentiment being "celebrate" I will have a few options with my card. If I need another holiday card to send out I can make this a New Year's card with an inside sentiment. Or if I need it as a congratulations card, I am also covered.
I used the layered champagne glass dies from MFT and cut in a vanilla shimmery paper for the glass and a metallic gold for the inside champagne. I used 3 of the dots that came out of the champagne as bubbles floating out of the glass. My black circle is cut from a SB circle die. The celebrate word is from the MFT celebratory greetings die.
My background designer paper is from the Stampin'-Up "gold fancy foil vellum" collection. I layered that over a piece of whisper white cardstock. Both of these pieces were cut with a stitched rectangle die.
The card base is a little larger than the A2 size. I did a hinge technique because I wanted the size to be a bit larger at 4 3/8" x 5 5/8" and I didn't have any 12 x 12 paper. Here is a link to my blog post that shows how I did this.
Well, that's my card for this week. Hope you can play along with these fun colors from Maura and show us something sparkly. You can check out our CC Pinterest Board here. Merry Christmas everyone!

Mary, this is so fun, and this theme was my next idea that I was going to try! I don't have this set but I have another one from PTI. This is so celebratory - great job!

I love the theme of gold circles here! Bubbles in the glasses, bubbles sparkling out the top and gold circles in the background. The card says "festive" to me! The black circle is a perfect contrast to the glasses! Love this!

Mary this is gorgeous!!! I've yet to see this type of glitter paper, but it is just beautiful -- love the champagne glasses with the little bubbles - and the dp you used goes perfectly with this!! Faved!
