Sabrina's challenge to us today is to be inspired by a song. I decided to go with the last song I heard last night--Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head. I have two boys--one is 3 1/2 and the other will be 2 next month. They are fascinated by my record player and this is one of the three 45's that I keep having to play for them over and over and over. It's this ("Raindrops. Head." as my two year old says), Rhinestone Cowboy and Yummy Yummy Yummy. If only I had a cowboy stamp, I so would have made a Rhinestone Cowboy.
They're so obsessed with records that Santa will be bringing them 45's for Christmas. Desmond is getting "Come Go With Me" because that's his favorite song and Raleigh is getting "You Are My Sunshine" by Gene Autry. Santa had to find them on ebay. I love that my boys love playing records.

Adorable card, and fun songs too! I heard on the radio yesterday when a song is stuck in your head, that is an ear worm. That is so cool playing old records for your boys.

What a charming story about your little boys and the 45 rpm records! We, too still have our turntable and most of our large collection of lp's - can't part with them!
This little rainy day teddy bear is cute as can be : )

Thank you for such a lovely write-up as well as a card using one of my favourite songs for making a card around. I heard the other day that for the first time in years vinyl sales had actually overtaken downloads...I must look the news story up for more detail. We used to love the 45s too, my mother had some in French, and we had the Beatles Magical Mystery Tour. I'm sorry you didn't have the wherewithal for a rhinestone cowboy but this is just so sweet.

Love hearing how you're creating a love of music in your children and those songs brought back such memories! My hubbie and my first date was Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid!! Your card is adorable.

As soon as I saw this card I started singing "Raindrops Head" in my own before I knew that was the one you selected! I remember when my own boys were about that age I had a Great Uncle pass and we were given some Victrola records and my son said excitedly, " Mommy, look at this giant CD!" Now one of them has started his own collection of old records! Great card and thanks for sharing and taking me down memory lane!
