It was this little gift that inspired my card today.
The sentiment is actually black. It appears green here. I cut out some of the curls of the bow to give it dimension. There are presents hiding under the bottom of the bow that were cut from Washi tape. The red side strips are vintage German Scrap that I heat embossed with red ep to made the sides of the package. That big bow was inked onto red dp with red Archival ink and then embossed with red ep.
I'm back from Christmas tree selecting...it wasn't THE one, but sometimes you just have to grin and remember this saying, right?!!!
I've wanted to do this card for a very long time. It was serendipitous today was the day AND inspiration from the Anthropologie site. With our two sons, young adults now and serious girlfriends, 'WE' are learning schedules and non schedules of everyone often times get changed, plans canceled, work shifts added, and the accompanying disappointments. I am BITING my lower lip more...might ever need super glue to keep those words in check!
The said Christmas tree will be au natural for several more days now...naturally scenting our living room until the gathering of family and friends to 'fancy' it up with ornaments. Life goes on...let's go with it!

How sensible you are Susan .... You've created a beautiful card with a wonderful message - may the whole world start to think the same. We live in hope.
