Love holiday baking! I have a very serious cookbook addiction. I am embarrassed to say how many I have but that won't stop me from putting another one on my Christmas wish list. My favorite cookbook for baked goods is The Back In The Day cookbook by Cheryl and Griffith Day. Everything I have tried from this has been spectacular but you don't want to count the calories on most of these recipes. They also have a lovely bakery in Savannah, Georgia if you are ever in that area. I am totally done with trying recipes from random food bloggers on Pinterest, no matter how good they look. I spent $28 on ingredients for a chocolate cheesecake that looked amazing and you could have used it for a stepping stone in the garden it was so rock hard.
This recipe for molasses cookies is from Food 52, another tried and true source for me. Check their website for lots of awesome recipes!
The stamp is from Darcy Heater Designs. I left some room at the bottom of the sentiment for a to and from addition.

Such a cute way to gift several cookies, Joanne. Loved your story about the cheesecake. I like the French take on pastries....use the best "real" ingredients....shows in the resulting taste. ; )

Wow - Those molasses cookies look moist and chewy and I am ready to take a bite! Love the granny santa image for this gift cause if grandma made it - it has to be good! ALso probably why you favor your 'back in the day cookbook' That was when cooks used REAL ingredients not margaine lite or sugar substitute in their recipes.

Those cookies look delicious and your packaging is adorable! The grandma image is so cute and the die cut border finishes the tag off perfectly. I took a little detour and checked out Food 52. Found lots of marvelous recipes, thanks for the referral. Thanks for playing in the challenge and bringing yummy cookies to the Cookie Exchange.

I love recipes too and I have told my family I want all my grandmother's recipes. I have cupboards full and shelves too of books and I have many saved on Pintrist and Just a Pinch too that I have tried and some that I make over and over that I just love. I will have to check out your recommendations...Oh new recipes. Super darling image on your cookie bag.

What a sweet bag topper! And a sweet treat too. I don't think it's possible to have too many recipe books, it's always good to get fresh new ideas to go with tried and trusted favourites.

I try to refrain from making cookies outside of Christmas time because I sit and eat most of them myself! My favourites are ones my mom made and a couple I got from my friend's grandmother when I was 16. I gift cookies to my brother and his son's at Christmas and your little bag topper is a divine idea! Love the sweet granny image and your lacy border!
