This is my card for SC622. Cathy is our hostess and she gave us a great sketch to work with. I am finishing up my Christmas cards so that's the route I went with the layout.
On this card I recycled a Christmas card that I received last year. I cut the image in 4 pieces and used some postage stamp scissors for a fancy edge.
My friend has this faux postage stamp that stamps a background template for your images once they are cut. We were together in the summer and everyone brought some Christmas cards to try this out. I didn't do anything with the images until today. I needed a couple more Christmas cards and I found this in my stash. I thought the rectangular layout would work for this sketch.
So I layered the image with real red cardstock. I used some soft suede designer paper from Stampin'-Up that I thought fit well with the horse color.
Used a die to cut the paper ribbon and bow and added some snowflakes that I found laying on my work table. That's my card for this challenge.

I love the way this mimics a square of Christmas stamps so well! That image is beautiful and certainly worthy of being recycled! Makes a wonderful Christmas card! How very clever!

Gorgeous! It's terrific that you repurposed this beautiful horse & sleigh picture. Love how you cut the picture into 4 pieces and made to look like postage stamps. Awesome! The brown and red looks fabulous with the image. Cute snowflakes and bow. Marvelous take on the sketch. Wonderful Christmas card. TFS
