Love it when challenges align in a magical way! Lisa, this week's Ways to Use It hostess, requests fairy tale images for her challenge, Celebrating Hans Christian Andersen. Susie, this week's Teapot Challenge hostess inspiration is from Disneyland's Wonderlands. It's Fantasyland for me!
My favorite childhood books were Andrew Lang's fairy tale collections. I vividly remember the wonder of the Blue Book of Fairy Tales. I was so happy when I found the book at an antique store. Those tales are still marvelous reads
I stamped the image on four pieces of card stock, colored and fussy cut into pieces for layers. I assembled to create dimension and shaped the flower and skirt petals. The text bg is a French fairy tale,A Fairy's Blunder from one of Lang's collections. I printed the text and used chalk to create shading behind the fairy. Hope you'll come join these fun challenges! Oh wow Miss Carla we truly are kindred spirits, the Blue Book of Fairytales was one of my favourites. Your card is so beautiful and looks like it should be in a picture book. Ahhhhhh big happy smile my dear friend.

Layered, dimensionl, fussy-cut image is done to perfection...she does look like she's stepping right out of the book and off the page! Wonderful coloring!

This is so precious and so sweet Carla!!! I love your bg 'story' shaded in blue, with the 3-D flowers/grass with your magical fairy running out of. This is what fairy tales are made of!!

Wow! Carla, this is awesome. Love the beautifully colored skirt and the shaped flowers. The text behind her is just the perfect thing to use.
