This card made me late to work this morning! LOL. But I had to finish it, because I really wanted to see what it was going to look like. And I love it!
Today's challenge is to "Pop It Up" and Cathy gave us links to quite a few tutorials for inspiration. They all look fun, but I decided to try the 3D Paper Piecing first.
I'm hooked on all things digi lately and this little guy is Snorkel Bunny from Tiddly Inks. I colored the ocean, sky, flippers and arms as the base. Then the next layer is ears, body, and bottom of snorkel. I actually kept them all connected in the center and glued it in as one piece. Then his face, which after I rounded I did end up putting a foam square in the middle of instead of gluing. Then I added Glossy Accents to his mask and almost forget the very tip of his snorkel that's sticking out of the water. It actually wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Maybe the hardest part was not putting Wink of Stella in the water. I always like to sparkle up my water with Wink of Stella, but I decided that's not this bunny's style.

Your little guy is just so cute. Good job with the technique and I like the use of Glossy Accents.

It was so worth being late for work - he's snorkelled straight into my favourites. This just makes me feel happy to look at. Sadly I'm too short-sighted for snorkelling to work for me :-(, I can see the fish as shapes but that's about it. I need to look into a new type of mask we saw in France last summer.
