This is my 2nd sample for CC609. I am your hostess this week and I chose garden green, basic black and your favorite Stampin'-Up red for the color palette. My red choice is cherry cobbler. Dessert is Christmas.
This card changed course on me a couple of times, but in the end, I was pleased with how it turned out. I decided to make it a square card (5") to let more of my background designer paper show and to spread out the poinsettia and other greenery.
The poinsettia and other greens are from the CottageCutz "holiday greenery" die. I cut in cherry cobbler and garden green cardstock. I sponged some of the leaves with garden green ink to give some color variation to the leaves.
The "joy" word is from the Stampin'-Up wondrous wreath dies. My designer paper is from the Penny Black "sheet music" collection. It's been in my stash forever. That completes this card.
Hope you can play along with us this week. The DT has some great samples for your inspiration. If you haven't looked lately, check out our Color Challenge Pinterest board here.

Another beautiful card, Mary! I love how you stamped the holly and berries on the designer paper (oh! or did it come already decorated?!?!), and the pretty floral grouping! Great idea to make the card square to show more of the pretty paper!
