I chose an aqua-blue card stock and embossed it with a Darice swirl folder, then used Mermaid Lagoon ink all around the edges on the embossing. The shaded green cs is from a cs book of water colored heavy cs. The sides were torn and inked. The Darice birds and bird cages embossing folder was used and then the SU chalks in various blues and greens were rubbed over the embossing. Turquoise and silver crochet cotton was wrapped around the cs twice. Dimensional Accents was used on the bird cage chains and then silver enamels at the top of the cages. A white label was inked and the sentiment done in the black. A little crochet cotton knot was glued to the label.

Wow Kandie, what a gorgeous card this is. I LOVE this sentiment you have paired with this embossed image. Your expert use of chalk on the embossed birds and bird cages looks so soft and lovely (I do not have a light hand like you do Kandie so my versions look like a 3-year-old did them). LOL. I love your torn edges and the embossed background too. Your use of yarn here is really interesting and fun. Love the bit of sparkle from the gems too! What a lovely, elegant, inspiring card this is for the letter B alphabet challenge Kandie. Hugs! ~Karen.

Kandie - this is so beautiful! I love, love, love the colors! I love the accent on the birdcage chains and soft coloring. Great layout, fabulous card for the letter B.
Wow! And wow, again! So striking! Love the color and the chalked embossed bird cages! The chains and heart and that knotted treatment on the sentiment panel are all so creative and well done! So perfect for letter B!
