When I saw this challenge I knew I had to make a card as I love the colour combination. The problem was finding time and knowing what to make.
In the end I decided on a quick Xmas card using a new stamp set. I've also got a thing happening with sponging and so off I go sponging the 2 blue colours. I wasn't happy with my efforts but I was on a mission to get this finished before our current busy life took over.
I decided to stamp one of the images using all 3 colours, cut out the cardstock using a stitched rectangle die and heat embossed the sentiment with silver powder. It didn't quite capture the dessert criteria for me, so I got out the silver twine and used that to cover up some iffy stamping. Should have used my misti ðY~³. Even though I also used my little embossing buddy I still managed to get some speckles of silver on the card. By now I was thinking too bad and watching the clock. Still not enough silver for me so out comes the silver glitter paper which seemed to get lost on the blue cardstock. Eureka moment.....and I found a scrap of eggplant bazzil and used that on my base. By this time you would think I had enough silver, but nope...it still wasn't doing it for me, so out comes the silver washi tape and rhinestones. Now I was happy and still time to get organised for the rest of the day. Yay. The design isn't anything new but it was made pretty quickly so don't look for the little woopsies....I must get some new specs as my layering is a little wonky ðY~'
Thank you for taking time to look at my card. Happy weekend
