I have edited my photo...o dark thirty is really not the best light of day for picture taking!
It's always fun to see who our newest Featured Stamper is and I am excited to see Holly, hbrown is front and center in our community this week. Not only is she a thoughtful and thought provoking commenter, she's known to issues some delightful challenges. I spent a lot of time 'walking' in Holly's gallery. So many cool cards...but when I spied this emboss resist beauty I knew I'd found THE card to case.
I changed the background stamp and colors of the resist. I kept the technique, a single words image, and used a single flower as a focal point. I used Brushos in Crimson. While it was still wet I rubbed with a baby wipe. The script was stamped in a navy archival ink and embossed with Silver Pearl. I added a grey mat, the seam binding trim and that awesome fussy silk blossom.
Thanks for your comments...I hope your week and gallery, Holly is filled with joy!

Susan, this is a real beauty! The Brusho background has a great distressed look which makes me think of the earlier BG papers. Wonderful sentiment stamp, too.

Wow Susan, what a beauty! LOVE that stamp and pretty flower. I guess I'm going to have to think about some brushos ... How creative to wipe some off while wet. Interesting look.

Oh, Susan! Who would NOT love this card - for the words alone. "Comforter" jumped right out at me. But the fussy silk blossom is awesome. My kind of flower. Awesome card.
