Better late than never! I was under the weather when the whole Falliday Fest began, so though I had grand plans to participate in most challenges, circumstances caused me to pick and choose what I could do.
This card is my creation for Understand Blue's "Start Spreadin' The News" (FF16UnderstandBlueA) Challenge (FF16UnderstandblueA Chatter Thread by UnderstandBlue at Splitcoaststampers) of Falliday Fest 2016. Since I am a born and raised rural Minnesotan, have never been to New York, and have only made short visits to larger cities (none even close to the size of NYC)... well, pine trees are the "tall buildings" I see each day on my commute to and from work, so I combined them in a silhouette over the type of morning sky I have been blessed to witness several times so far this fall, and I imagine someone in New York has been lucky enough to see something similar, albeit with big buildings instead of the trees.

Pine trees as a view would beat tall buildings (almost any buildings) hands down in my book! Sounds like a lovely commute to work - and I hope you see many more beautiful sunrises like this. Your sponging is really effective here.

Very creative take on the challenge and a splendid card resulted! Gorgeous sponged sky - love the colours. I walk my dog early and this time of year sometimes I get a bonus of a sky like this! Love your card!
