I stamped the penguins (rubber stamp) on a piece of paper, and scanned that into my computer. I used that image as a size reference to know how large to make my snow globe. Finally, I printed just the snow globe onto a piece of watercolor paper. I masked off the penguins, snow, & area around the globe part with masking fluid. When that was dry, I painted a layer of watercolor in the globe part. After I had a good bit of color, I sprinkled sea salt into the watercolor wash, and let that sit for a few hours to dry. After it dried (I did have to help it a bit in the end with my heat tool), I brushed off the salt. I rubbed off the masking fluid, which surprisingly didn't tear my paper for once! I colored the penguins & base with Inktense pencils & a damp paintbrush. I stamped the greeting on the base, curving the stamp slightly to mimic the curve of the image. The masking fluid had slightly stained the paper, so I ended up fussy cutting the snow globe out, and adhering it on a separate background that I created with 2 different patterned papers. I still think it came out really well, though!
