For yesterday's MIX challenge from Janelle: I Spooked Too Soon. Plenty of mixed media on the front - you can see the full view of the front HERE.
My clock face is embossed with a stencil - but I inked the stencil first and heat embossed it. Then with assorted masking I sponged the clock face green, and the centre and background brown. I used Thoughts and Prayers to stamp foliage all over the clock face. For the clock surround I used a Hero Arts Script stamp and a leaf from French Foliage. Also I misted it with water, and brushed a little gesso through drywall mesh tape.
I masked again and stamped the centre with a woodgrain stamp, and using partial die-cutting and Spellbinders circle, cut a door in it. Then decided to add the Unity stamp for a bit more interest. A photo turn holds it closed. And then I distressed the edges (more texture) and added Stickles. The base is slightly largely and has some Metallic Seasonings chunky EP on it.
Finished off with a word die cut from gold and popped up on foam.
Behind this I added a large piece of foam with the centre cut out - I needed a little space to allow for my owl. I conertina-folded a short strip of acetate to make a spring for him. The back is taped through a slit in the embossed and sponged DP.

You just knock my socks off, Sabrina. You combined so many techniques and materials into each of your one of a kind creations. This is just spectacular. I have been trying to do all the FF16 chalkenges which was such a dumb idea....life is stressful enough trying to do one card per week. Luckily, I only have 1 card left to do and then to make my list. Then I will take a long stroll through your gallery to see all the fantastic creations I have missed. Thinking of you and sending hugs.
