When I first saw this challenge I just knew I had to have a go as I love clocks, vintage and travel. I think the scrapbooker in me came out and I've definitely got a leaning towards vintage.
The lettering on the background was stamped with Versamark and clear embossed. It didn't quite give me the look I was looking for, so I sponged away with my TH distress inks and finally got the effect of an old newspaper. The hot air balloon stamp was stamped onto a piece of white cardstock I sponged first with the same inks. After popping it onto the card I felt it needed something else, so got out some 6x6 vintage paper I've been wanting to try, tore a piece, sponged the edges and popped that on. I added a postage stamp sticker and some washi tape out of my scrapping stash, cut a tag and sponged that....I think I got carried away with it but I love the aged look it gives. After stamping the sentiment and adding the twine I decided to tuck it behind the front panel. My bling side came out and as you can see, I had to add some sequins.
It does look like one of my scrapbook pages but I am happy with it and will add it to my masculine card stocks.
Thank you for taking time to look at my card and thank you for inspiring me to take up this challenge.
