Henrietta and Holly remembered an untapped supply of hats...the basement of their own shops! Aunt Hattie (see what I did here?) , the matriarch of Hottentot, had dozens of vintage hats stored..they were once the "Smartest of Millinery" when she ran things in town. So the Halloween parade was saved!!
FYI-the words on this card are from some old type set that my niece found for me at an antique store. I was happy to get it out for today's challenge. Thank you Carla for the great story!

Polly, you've rescued the parade! Your vintage hat display is marvelous. Love the hats and your fabulous layout. I think you must have gotten new border dies, great way to use them. That vintage type made for the perfect sentiments. Thank you for saving the parade and playing in my challenge.

A wonderful vintage setting for your hats that once were relegated to storage and now have pride of place - in the story of course; I'm sure those stamps never got relegated anywhere. Your layout and papers are so perfect for this. And you even have hat stands. That's what I really wanted to make yesterday but had the perennial problem of never enough time...

Love these vintage papers and the interesting shapes you used.
When you say "'type set" are you talking about the real metal letters? I worked in newspapers long after the age of hot type, but I love those old letters, and this is a beautiful font.
