As an American, I'm ashamed I've never read our Constitution (in full) and with this contentious election, I've downloaded our constitution. Jeanne's falliday challenge for a patriotic card is my inspiration. This is my 2nd card but may not qualify for Operation Quiet Comfort with the touch of heat embossed glittered ep for the starbursts.
Using one of the printed Constitution pages (after reformatting the font and size and used a mid-tone grey), sponged DI Chipped Sapphire for a blue field, then DI Festive Berries for the red stripes. Heat set the distress inks so the stars and starbursts could be heat embossed.
The sentiment was heat embossed with clear ep after stamping with Altenew Jet Black a couple of times.
The stamps and stencil used are from a variety of sets but mostly thru SSS monthly kits.
Obviously, this flag is far from scale, nor accurate, but does represent the patriotic spirit from which its borne.
Jeanne, you'll let me know if this card qualifies for Operation Quiet Comfort!?
TFL!

This is fantastic! I love that you used the text from the actual constitution as the backdrop for this wonderful flag image! I also love the sparkly fireworks you incorporated into this flag. This is just wonderful! ~Karen.

Wonderful vintage-looking patriotic thank you card. Like the way you colored the flag very subtly on the newsprint bg....for a weathered and worn look. The sparkling fireworks are a pretty contrast.
