This card was a total experiment. Not sure I'm happy with the result. It looked better in my head. Today's Inspiration Challenge was Audrie's Inspiration Genius Awards Pinterest board -- cards she has loved from previous Inspiration challenges. When I saw this card by donidoodle, I almost immediately thought of the interlocking circles die I recently purchased. I also remembered a shaker card I had seen using fun foam as the "build-up" material and wondered if I could do one using this die. I cut three fun foam die cuts and glued them together using brushable glue, which made the process lots less messy than it might have been. When I cut the final, cardstock diecut, I put an adhesive sheet on the back side of the cardstock so that it could easily be attached to the acetate, which I then fussy cut. I placed sequins and seed beads in some of the circles.

I totally understand your feeling about something not being 'right'. What is it that we just 'know' when an idea becomes reality. I do love that die and your bg paper and the interactive shaker will delight someone. Keep bringing forth those ideas, Lois

Lately (actually since I began working in a craft store) I've used and recommended fun foam for shaker cards. I think it makes shakers tons easier. Love what you did with these linked circles - what a great die. Job well done my friend.

This is fabulous!! I am so in awe of this kind of shaker that uses only parts of the card for embellishment! YOWZA!

This is gorgeous! Lois, I took one look at it and thought, "wow, too intricate for me!" This is really going to give hours of pleasure to the recipient, they are not going to be able to resist shaking!!!
