Thank you for the challenge. My card didn't quite come out as I envisaged so I may end up dismantling it as its not lying flat as you will see (any suggestions please are welcomed), plus there's a side of me that just wants to add more colour ).
I decided to try resist embossing as I love the effect. I used Versamark on my embossing folder and white heat embossed the image. I sponged the 3 inks onto the card which was cut using a stitched die. Love this effect.
The thank you is layered using white cardstock which has been inked. The butterfly was sponged using all 3 colours. The matt was also made using 2 of the inks.
I felt the card was lacking something so I used my wink of stella to add some shine, however I am finding that once this is dry it looks matt and uneven. I've now added some stickles which gives the shine but again I find the matt border is messy. My OCD side coming out ) Any suggestions are welcomed. Thank you for taking time to look at my card

This is very pretty with the soft colours. The embossing can distort the paper and it happens to everyone. When I done heating the front I heat the back to get the paper back into shape, and also when I glue down I used tape glue across the entire piece and lay down starting at one point and use my bone folder to flatten as I go. I have also put a heavy book on top once glued down. lol

I like the soft colours, and the way the butterfly and sentiment match. Ditto on the warping, the tips above work well. I usually go with the heavy books option...and DH is never slow to let me know if I haven't glued right out to the edge of my panel.

This is a beautiful card! I too get all "OCD" so when I use embossing (especially wet & dry together like on my card called "Shine") I go super heavy on my adhesive. I have a big ATG so I probably go heavier on the adhesive than I sometimes need too. Oh well, that's OCD cardmaking... I live with it! ;)
