After stamping the image, I masked Charlotte with 'drawing gum' -that stuff is not for the faint hearted, it smells like a dead critter. Anyway after this dreadful stuff dried I sprayed Dylusions ink spray and some Izink onto a sheet of aluminium foil, squirted on lots of water and dunked the card in the inky puddle.
When I was happy with the colour, I removed the masking fluid (it doesn't smell when it's dry thank goodness). Next step was to add lots and lots of silver stickles, add sentiment and then doodled a border.
At this point I should have walked away.....but no, I had to pick up the grunge circle stamp and add a few grungy stamps. It looked awful, I tried scrubbing it off. It dulled down a bit but not enough.
Being very careful I tore Charlotte from the background, adhered a book page to Kraft card then placed the torn Charlotte to one side to cover more grunge. Whew crisis averted.
Thank you for looking, I hope you get a chance to join in.

Drawing gum...now I am going to have to look that up...smells like critter you say...well being in the Adirondacks this week we smelled critter one night and just could not figure out where it was coming from - oh that smell.. Such a stunning card and love how she turned out. Your torn edge works perfect and without reading the wright up I would NEVER have known you did not mean her to be that way. You saved her beautifully! I can't wait to see Robin's challenge for the details. :)

This is brilliant mate! I LOVE this gypsy girl and the way you made her head dress with all the bling!!! I love how you tore Charlotte away from part of the bg and gave a new layer of newsprint/book to the side...makes her quite unique and VERY artsy! I know how you love artsy and weirdo stuff (she is not weirdo just artsy!). LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your bling dressing!

I love how this turned out, Susie...your goofs always lead to wonderful additions to your cards. You used such gorgeous shares of red. The hair is just amazing. I agree with Robin, an "artsy" masterpiece.

Drawing gum, is that similar to masking fluid? I don't think in the craft room can smell worse than grunge paper and Mid Podge. Bling indeed, this gal's hair is amazing, but even more then that I love the torn framing and book page behind her.

You are amazing and so is your card! Love the torn offset image with the text peeking out. I'm glad you left a little of the grunge it makes a nice foil for all the silvery bling which I'm sure is a reflection of Charlottes personality.
