So I cut out the words Happy Birthday in 2 thicknesses on my Silhouette and some cute little flowers out of postit note paper I had just got. (LOVE IT) I took my water color paper and laid down how I wanted it to read and then threw me some flowers around. I took my second one and used the thicker cut on it to see which I liked better in the end. (we all do that right?) Again threw flowers down. Took my Tim Holtz blender and distress inks and went to town. I didn't have a spritzer BUT I did have some Heidi Swap misty stuff with shimmer in it.. That will work right? Okay spritz and splash and away it went then over to the dryer....YAY! Okay now to reveal whether my art idea had worked right...Yeah , yeah ,maybe weeeeellllll in places it had worked and in others it hadn't. You couldn't read the words. Hrmmm how to save my (insert french accent here) Piece De Resistance huh huh huh. Okay well lets use a pen and write the words...YAY that actually looks awesome...Okay lets add dimension and use some Nuvo drops for the flower centers. Okay it looks plain but manageable. And now you know.. the rest of the Story.

Yay, thank you for sharing your process! I love that. Great save with the hand lettering - it looks great with the shadowy white behind it. Beautiful background, and I like the random flowers too. Thank you so much for playing along with my Falliday Fest challenge!
