I colored the image, adding the sky, snow, and moon with Copic markers. I added snow using my Gelly Roll white gel pen, and got it glittery with my Wink of Stella. Such a striking image, I didn't want to overpower accessories, so I just embossed the sentiment in white.
The challenge was to use hard candy Christmas as an inspiration. We hosted many young airmen in our home for Christmas when I was young. Sharing with these young men meant we had few gifts to open around the tree. But those were the best, richest holidays of my life.

Another touching story! Wow. C'mon you guys. I cry at the Publix holiday commercials. Now about this card. I am favoriting this because I have to study it further. I am not a copic person but this ALMOST convinces me to try--however, this is of a level not very many achieve. It is truly a masterpiece and that is not an exaggeration. Wow. Wow. Wow.
