You brought us a beautiful example, Dini, on this Masquerade challenge. Thanks!
I knew just as I read your commentary, I wanted to give the Tim Holtz leaves a go. I didn't use tape as they were so small, but the actual dies cuts themselves. I carefully laid them onto the watercolor paper and then spritzed water over the whole paper. The Brushos were sprinkled next with the powders 'doin' their magic. I wasn't quite sure I was gonna like it. So I flipped the watercolor paper over and went after it again...practice makes perfect, as they say.
But in the end, I decided to use the first one. The Dawn Houser Inkadinkadoo Emily Bronte quote was stamped and embossed with clear. To keep the dark quote from being lost, I sewed the tiny vintage orange buttons to draw the eye. Left a bit of the thread to accentuate the FLUTTERing...
Hope you are noticing the beauty of fluttering leaves wherever you are...it is BLISS.
Thanks for leaving a comment...

I love that you shared your process - thank you for doing that! The leaves are just starting to glow here in Missouri - it's beautiful. I love the dies you used, and the collecting pile of leaves! Brushos are so much fun! Thank you so much for playing along with my Falliday Fest challenge!

I've been picking those fluttering leaves off the ground and noticing their autumn wardrobe change from greens to golds, browns, burgundy, orange and red...so pretty. Very cool design, Susan. Love the quote and your added fluttering thread...nice touch
