A very different challenge today from Audrie! I saw these beautiful flowers and decided to have a go! http://www.annespapercreations.com/2...orial-woc.html With the flower in mind I thought today was a good day to cover the front of Volume 2 of the journal I have been writing to my granddaughter since before she was born. I told her she can have them when she's 18 - next year! I wonder what she will think as she sees her life so far through the eyes of her doting Nana ... I've written about everything from dolly tea parties to tantrums!
The cover - I covered the front and back of the journal with cream flecked paper first. I covered stiff card with 3 layers of gauze and added strips of lace and ribbon before making the flower. I added some tiny flower embellishments to the ribbon, and a hat pin and lace string to the flower. I followed the video bit by bit and am quite happy with how it turned out - despite a couple of minor burns from my hot glue gun!

such a beautiful cover you made and what a good idea to start a journal even before baby is born, with such a present she'll be very surprised and I'm sure very happy and proud on her grand mother for this beautiful job

Oh so very special, sure to become a priceless part of your GD history. The cover is beautiful and Graphic fortified in the best sistah style!!!! I can image all those patterned papers could give you heart paps. But you ended up with a lovely take on the IC today.
And me loving the collage...found myself overwhelmed with all the busyness...might have to revisit
Hugs across the pond.
