For Anna's The Colour Red MIX challenge. I was thankful for an early post, as these days if I don't get a start before work, it may never happen.
So, I stamped my leaves twice; once in blue, and brushed chalk over them. Once in red, which I embossed with clear EP. I used Gelatos and a baby-wipe on these and brought them into work for the fussy-cutting stage. One of the guys in work was teasing me about cheating - he thought I was cutting pre-coloured leaves out of an old card and told me I should have painted them myself, LOL. Then he realised I had ;-).
Back home, I trimmed the blue panel down and edged it with a black Sharpie, then added the sentiment (embossed with clear EP) and arranged the leaves after giving them a dusting of metallic shimmer with Craft-T rub-ons. Some are popped up on foam. If I'd had gold sequins in more than one (large) size I would have tried adding a few, as it was I settled for little dots of gold Stickles under all the falling leaves.

Oh my, I love this card!!! The colors are so unexpected, and yet they work so beautifully together. The story you told is so about funny about cutting out the leaves and your co-worker thinking you were cheating by cutting out pre-colored leaves. Hopefully, he had the good sense to be embarrassed when he found out you had colored the leaves. LOL. The black edge you added around the blue panel really makes this whole image pop! I am putting this right into my favs! ~Karen.

This is such a pretty card - that touch of gold on the red leaves just brings them to life! And I love those tiny dots of stickles falling under your leaves - in my opinion a much better option than sequins would have been - it is in keeping with the overall subtle beauty of this card.

WOW those red leaves are a standout! What an artistic arrangement to have those red leaves on top of the blue...really cool idea. And I like the gold shimmer you added to them. As always your designs are so unique Sabrina!

your leaf placement is fabulous. I can really feel the movement of the falling leaves. I like the contrast between the blue leaves and the red leaves. The little touches of gold are stunning.
