Lisa is hostess for this week's Ways to Use It challenge, WT604 Fancy Fold. All the stars aligned for me today. This week's Z Box fold tutorial fits in perfectly with Lisa's challenge. I had a panel I created with the faux leather tutorial from last week's TLC challenge. Then I saw this week's TLC606 Bandana TLC challenge, and knew they were all meant to be combined Western style!
I created my base following the Z box fold tutorial, then moved on to the panels. For the faux leather technique, I stamped a small map and compass, and die cut for my inside panel. Next up was the bandana tutorial, die cut for the front panel and cut into strips. I stamped and colored the boots, then used the Out of the Box Nestabilities technique to extend the toe of the boot and flowers out from the image panel. I embossed the image panel, left the die on and added a soft turquoise around the boot. I cut the hat, cowgirl and Happy Birthday sentiment with my Slice and sponged some color on the hat. Stamped a sentiment in the center panel, assembled the pieces and added some copper brads to complete. This is definitely a record for me, six techniques for one card and lots of fun! TFL

This is such a fun card, Carla. You sure combined the perfect elements to make this such a terrific creation. The faux leather, faux bandana, and the adorable cowboy hat and boots look so good. Faved

Six techniques on one card, that is quite something, Carla. You're quite right about the two TLCs being made for each other, and I love that blue you used for the bandanna combined with the soft leather colours. How cool that yesterday's Inkling then gave you the perfect fold to combine them for today's WT without covering up too much of either of them. Great die for the leather panel, with a twisted rope feel to it. What a fabulous Western card in every little detail.

Carla this is awesome. I love the amazing color, love the stunning stamp, love the silhouette of the cowgirl and love the faux leather, bandana and fancy Z Box fold. I am so glad you were able to use that fold on your card with SCS putting that one out as the featured tutorial. Your card is amazing and every bit of the techniques all work perfectly for this cowgirl card. Six amazing techniques on this wonderful card! I am so impressed! Way to go Carla!!! You knocked this card out to the country!
