I made this card for the Double Alphabet challenge to use the letter G and to make it all girly (glitter is my G letter and also is the glammy girly part of this card). My friend is retiring soon and she is a very glamorous lady in the best sense. I am so excited for her to retire and when I saw this challenge, I knew exactly what I was going to make for her card because it is so her. I sprinkled Ken Oliver color burst powders onto a panel of KromeKote paper and spritzed them generously with water and allowed the panels to dry. They really don't look like much when you see them, but then I pulled out the Elmer's Craft Bond spray glue and sprayed the panel well, then poured Dazzling Diamonds glitter over it and allowed that to dry too. This helps the panel look better, but it really does not look that great...until you place the die cut panel on top of it. That is when the magic happens. I never get tired of doing this either. It is so much fun!

WOWZA! I ton of work for a gorgeous result, your elegant friend will LOVE this! Now that you've created this beauty, the ones to follow will come together quicker (nee drying time), and you will make more, you just have too! :)
As a side note, I love your bee prop. hahaha
How sweet is this card? It sure is pretty. I bet even more gorgeous in real life. I'm guessing this is the kind of card that you have touch just from the looks of it. And I'm sure it will touch your friends heart when she get it. The all the embarrassment moment with your mailman will turn in to precious memories. By the way I know this card must be sweet and probably something the bee thinks is good to eat. Or that bee is all about the glitter too!!

What an impressive card, Karen!! Everything about this card is gorgeous! I'm sure that glittery and colorful piece is gorgeous without the panel! However, the panel is really great!! Great work, Karen, and congratulations to your friend!

This is a gorgeous, glittery card for your friend. What a wonderful retirement card. I think that background is absolutely gorgeous as it is and then the die cut just takes it up another notch. Fantastic!
