It's always so hard to know what to put on top of a beautiful DIY background after you've made a great one. I always want the background to show as much as possible.
So, I took that cute little angel in a cowboy direction--and let myself have the time to paper piece her together (one of my favorite techniques).
The fringe is a scrap of Faux Suede from my scrap basket--took the fringe scissors to it.

Oh, I agree! After spending time on a background I definitely want to cover as little as possible. Adding that suede fringe was a genius idea; I love the nontraditional feel to this sweet Christmas card.
