OK, I admit it; I am addicted to the Elegant Writer bleeding technique! I've been playing and playing all week. I started last night to try coloring once I had the baseline shading, bleeding set. So when I saw that Cathy wanted us to use apples today I decided to draw and then color my bushel of apples (Lots of step by step photos on my blog). I drew the image (copying from a coloring page I found online) and then used water to pull the color from the black sketched lines (this gives blues, greys and purples). I then used my Chameleon pens to add color (Hot Cocoa, Crimson Red and Olive Green). I added in some details using a Smoky Slate marker. I sponged Turquoise along the edges and stamped my sentiment. I framed in black and used a Kraft base dry embossed with the Square Lattice ef.

The brown Elegant Writer bleeds into some lovely rusty reds, you should try that too! Great look here. Those blues in the shadows, it almost gives the impression that the basket of apples is sitting in snow. I love it! I did a double-take because at first I thought Chameleon was a new variety of apple I'd never heard of, but then I realised it was your markers. In mitigation, we were clearing my dad's house out at the weekend and I'm still pretty shattered. Thanks for thinking of us...

This is gorgeous Gail!! There are so many different techniques, it's hard to keep up. I absolutely love how you did the basket - I can really feel its realness.
