Cathy is this week's Ways to Use It hostess. Hope you'll join us for her timely challenge, WT603 An Apple a Day.

I live in Washington state, the biggest producer of apples, Johnny Appleseed must have had quite the following here. I used a Jonagold for my model, and promptly ate it ;) I stamped the image and colored with alcohol markers. I scribbled blue and aqua markers on a ceramic tile and used a water brush filled with 99% alcohol to create the soft blue shading. Stamped the sentiment and sketched the border with a Pitt pen. Mounted the image on a die cut panel and added gingham ribbon and a bow to complete. TFL

Miss Carla this is brilliant, your apple looks good enough to eat!! Your colouring is absolutely fabulous. I love the border design around the image and the whole layout look great.

Fabulous colouring...and I bet you enjoyed eating it too. I like your drawn frame and the lovely decorative matting layer. I picked up some orchard apples at the farmers' market when I visited my dad on Saturday, and am enjoying the rare treat of 'real' apples which taste as I remember.

Wowza Carla, such stunning coloring and what a beautiful apple you used. I bet it was very tasty too. Love the added gingham. I was going to add gingham to my card as well but found another paper that was already cut down, the gingham is such a perfect pattern for apples and looks great on your card.

Beautiful coloring on that apple...it looks luscious! And your framing is wonderful..love the doodling around the edge and the red die cut with that sweet gingham ribbon.

I don't think I have ever had a Jonagold apple. I am going to have to give it a try! I lived in Bellevue Washington for about two years and the apples were the best!!! Your card is gorgeous!

Oh there is so much I love about this card! First your image is colored beautifully - and I love the die you used for the bg on the red, then the punch with the gingham ribbon running through!! Perfect card Carla!!!
