This is for our FS Gail (mamaxsix). I love her gallery...she likes to play in her craft cave and mix it up with mixed media as well as doing CAS designs such as this card which I choose to CASE. I changed the die cut flowers and used washi tape as my border. I liked the woodgrain bg on her card and chose to use some paper I had in my stash. This card will be one of several that I'm going to bring to my old German teacher. We still get together now and then for lunch in my hometown about 30 miles from where I live now (she's really a friend and not that much older than I am). She's very active in her church, one she attended as a girl and teen. In fact she drives a few hours every Sunday for services and "Gemutlichkeit" (warmth, friendliness, good cheer). One of the things she does for this small congregation is to send each member a birthday card. So I decided to contribute some of the many cards I already have made and make a few more to bring. I thought this one would work for either a guy or gal. Anyway, congratulations Gail..enjoy your week as Featured Stamper!!

Beautifully designed Polly! I loved your description of your German teacher who sounds like a remarkable woman! Love the wood grain background on this as well as the die cut poppies in yellow. The washi tape is a perfect border too.

Your hollyhocks are so pretty, Polly. What a sweet card for your friend. Wow!...driving a few hours to church when I only drive about 5 minutes or less. She sounds awesome and I am sure she will appreciate you giving her those cards.
