My friends, this card was started for Ky's (Scrapacat) MIX190 challenge for a faux stained glass. As I moved forward, the card evolved into more as I started thinking of other challenges for this week. The card is for these challenges and hopefully I meet them:
TLC630 - Judy (StampingQueenJAR) wanted us to add texture to a card with a technique. The technique I used is the stain-glass window technique. The texture I added was a flavorful embossing powder. It smells like Vanilla!
WT601 - Carla (Covington Crafter) wanted us to create a card that "Mmmmm, Smells Good!" by adding or creating a scented embossing powder. I used three layers of SU Vanilla Scented Embossing Power, and I was surprised that it had not lost its scent as it is old. I was wrong, mmmmmm, my card smells GOOD!
F4A343 - Shirley (wannabcre8tive) wanted us to get "Swirly" by creating a card with swirls. The front panel, my home made cathedral window, is covered with swirls made from a Cuttlebug Swirls EF.
MIX190 - As stated above, Ky (Scrapacat), wanted us to create a faux stained window, which is the main focus of this card. I began my window by stamping and coloring (with copics) a purple Gladiolus flower. Upon completion, with a MICRON pen I drew my wonky pieces of "glass". (Ky did a wonderful job on creating her glass pieces, and mine are oddly shaped in comparison). I used two greenish Copic markers to color the glass.
Whee, that was a lot of work, but does my card ever smell good! Hope you enjoy it.

This made me think of a big window straight away with that lovely curved top - and your glossy vanilla coating looks beautiful - glad to hear it smells good too. The colours in this are gorgeous - I can't believe you weren't also hitting the colour challenge with it ;-).
I agree with you, it was quite hard to work out how to draw the glass! I struggled with that.

Wow! This is really gorgeous! I love this beautiful flower you colored and I love the surrounding background colors you chose to showcase this beautiful bloom! I am really impressed you made the stain glass yourself- I thought it was a stamp! I giggled when reading how good this embossing powder still smells. Yum! I can almost smell it too! I love the curved window frame you made with the swirls too. Whomever receives this card will truly love it! ~Karen.

I love how your more uniform shapes for the stained glass turned out. The teal colors look lovely with the purple flowers. This really looks like cathedral window.

Wow, you accomplished a lot of challenges with this fabulous card. I just chickened out of the MIX challenge this week. Wasn't very confident in attempting it.

Bev, you really nailed these challenges with your gorgeous card! The lovely gladiola just pops with those rich colors. The embossed frame sets this off perfectly. So glad you had the vanilla ep, bet it smells great. Thanks for getting smelly with me and playing in my challenge.
