Sorry I am a bit late to Polly's fabulous black & white photograph inspired mixed media challenge. I love black & white photo's with lots of shades of grey.
Using my MISTI I stamped this several times using black onyx Versafine ink. I then used my black distress crayon and did some swishes in her hair, blending with my finger.
Using a black micron pen I did some criss-crosses for her dress, then purposely scribbled over that with a black Copic and also coloured in her sunnies.
I wanted this to look like a mock magazine layout, not a pristine photo so I shut my eyes and wiped over the entire card with a baby wipe.
The baby wipe moved the crayon beautifully. I lightly added a bit of pencil for shading and doodled Jackie's name (and beads) with a fine micron pen and lead pencil.
This was heaps of fun and a very quick way to get inky. Another sample for my book. Thanks so much for looking.

This does look like an old cover from a magazine! She is stunning and the highlights and low lights are spectacular. You had to be holding your breath when wiping this with a baby wipe, I would have been terrified that after all that work that it would have been ruined/smeared too much. You are a brave soul! Brilliant dear friend!

Wow! A beauty, Susie. Fabulous job you did on Jackie. I am guessing Jackie Kennedy because the nose looks just like hers.

Brilliant, Susie. I found it do hard to turn B&W into mixed media but not you!! Love the cross-hatching on the dress, just like a sketch. LOL at the closing your eyes for the baby-wipe part, that must have been a tense moment.

Thanks for bringing Jackie to the party. This is so wonderfully executed...I love all the black mediums you were able to add to your mock up (it really does look like a mock up ...that came to my mind before I even read your description). Amazing work Susie..LOVE it!!
