My entry for Sketch Challenge 609. I shared a tutorial on my blog last week about how to make marbled paper in Fall colors, but this is the first chance I've had to actually use those papers. Thanks to the Sketch Challenge hostesses for giving me the inspiration to put something fun together!
To make this, I stamped the dried paper with leaves in three different Distress ink colors. The brown ones show up pretty well, but the yellow and green seem to have gotten lost in the marble pattern a bit. I followed the Sketch Challenge layout, and used metallic copper posterboard for the thin strips. I distressed all of the cardstock with a sanding block. I wanted to keep the accent pieces simple to let the paper shine out, so a simple twist of organdy ribbon and a wood veneer leaf did the trick. The sentiment sums up how I feel about Fall and life in general. :-)
