I was inspired by this picture. http://designspiration.net/image/4237432726952/
My card took a few turns along the way of my mind. I wanted to make a vellum layer opening out of the hole like the plastic sheeting in the picture. But I just didn't like the way it looked. I tried it with three different materials but didn't like any of them. So it is without the element that attracted me to this inspiration, but I am happy with the way it turned out. Decided not to put a sentiment on it yet. I'll see where it ends up being sent.

This is amazing, Pat. I thought the bg was dp...your direct to paper technique turned out so well. The bright flower and leaves are beautiful. This is a virtual trip to Hawaii in a card.

Sometimes our inspiration journeys take a few u-turns ... I love your final destination ... the circle frames your bloom perfectly ... and the inky background is fabulous as well ... awesome inspired card.

Stunning Pat! I love this beautiful coral bloom and how it is spotlighted with this circle frame. The direct to paper method you used on your background is fabulous! Isn't it amazing the journey a card can take us on? And yours took you someplace fabulous! I like to say that I took the "scenic route" to get here. LOL. ~Karen.

Gorgeous! The first thing I thought of when I saw this was that it looked like a hibiscus bush bursting through a porthole in an old whaler ship in Hawaii. Even the direct to paper ink technique looks like rough, old weathered wood! Love everything about this card, it's a stunner. TFS!
