I have been enjoying playing around with a technique that was shared a couple of weeks ago with an awesome video tutorial by Dina, Palette Blending. I took a large acrylic block and scribbled my four colors. I took a wet brush and started water coloring my flower. I mixed some of my colors together to add variation and depth. After my flower and stem were done, I still had color left on my "palette" so I added even more water to thin in out. I then did a washed bg. I dried that as well and then used my Chocolate Chip marker to loosely write illegibly around the flower. I sponged Chocolate Chip around the edges and corners to warm it up some more. I used a Garden Green base and added a ribbon accent. I decided not to add a sentiment to this one. I'm really enjoying this week's color combo.
