Karen gave us a very trickly Technique Lovers' Challenge today - "All Natural Impressions" - to press real flowers or leaves onto paper using a Big Shot or Cuttlebug.
I tried several different flowers and leaves and was happiest with this very muted hydrangea impression. The flowers were quite faded so didn't give a lot of colour but impressed into the mixed media paper leaving a slight letterpress effect and some faint colouring around each blossom.
I framed it with green cs, added a green sentiment, and mounted on a rustic cs base.

Lovely card, Susan and the hydrangeas turned out beautifully. I did this technique a few years ago with pink and blue hydrangeas and mine turned out BEIGE....who would have thought! The green framing brings out the green of your main panel so nicely.

Gosh, I'm impressed that you got such a great and beautiful result from hydrangea.I love the sort of dappled textured look. The deep matting and little sentiment finish it perfectly, since it's beautiful enough to stand as a focal image and not a background.
