For this week's diagonal CAS challenge and for this week's natural technique challenge. A couple of weeks ago, my line dancing buddies sent me a speedy recovery bouquet. It's clearly nearing its end, so I clipped the petals from one of the more spent carnations to impress into the panel, which I did, embossing them into (and staining) burlap. I then sponged the diagonals and stamped the bold sentiment.
Who knew a dark red carnation would stain as purple?

Wow, I'll have to try some burlap for embossing!! It looks great, and really adds so much interest to this. I like your yellow and unexpected purple combination.

Yeppers! many of the pink & red flowers end up staining either purple or often from my experience brown . . .Glad you got the purple hues - they go nicely with the yellow diagonal stripes.

Beautiful. Wonderful color from the impression of the flowers. It's a lovely purple. The burlap added such great texture. The diagonal yellow stripes add a pretty touch. Well done. TFS
