Vicki (vdutchr) is the hostess for this week's Color Challenge, and she asked us to use Stampin' Up! colors of Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, and Emerald Envy. These colors are beautiful together, Vicki! Great selection! For dessert, Vicki chose a bird.
These colors initially inspired me to create a Christmas card, which I may do tomorrow, but then I decided to use the SU Botanical Builder Dies to create a floral scene. I die cut a Solar White panel from an ODBD die and used a black Copic Multiliner around the edge as the embossed portion wasn't showing well. I then used a stencil to alternately sponge on Tempting Turquoise and Emerald Envy ink.
To be eligible for "dessert", I white embossed a bird in his cage that is just below the sentiment. Hopefully you can see that. Also, I added two small Cardinals to the sentiment.
I created the turquoise and red flowers and included a "candy dot" in the centers. Foliage was added that I sponged with Emerald Envy, but used different amounts of ink to give a variety.
BTW, I could not include all of the accessories I used as the "system" only allows so many characters. If interested, the information and additional pictures will be on my website tomorrow: http://stampingwithguneauxdesigns.com
Thanks for viewing and leaving comments. They are much appreciated!

Wow! I am truly impressed! Your card is gorgeous. I never would have put these colors together and they are gorgeous! I may be inspired to try something with them now. I love your soft sponged, blended background too. Really lovely card! ~Karen.

Oh, Bev, I am such a fan of stenciling behind these Botanical blooms! I think it makes such a pretty combination. I also like the stitching and those sweet leaves!

Lovely card, Bev! The arrangement of the flowers and leaves against the sponged and stenciled background is so pretty. The subtle bird and cage is an added bonus!

I've been trying to resist the Botanical Builder dies but I don't think it's going to work, especially after seeing something this beautiful. Love everything about this card, so many pretty details here.
