I received some encouragement today from several gals in a Dare To Get Dirty Thread. The Mixability challenge has always intimidate me because of my discomfort with mess. I tried anyway and look what I came up with. I do have some illegible writing in the background of my stars. I wrote in pool party and then sponged soft sky and pool party over it to make it more challenging to read.
I have sponged in dye ink and then painted my stars with pink acrylic paint. Then I sprinkled loose glitter over the paint and sealed it in with crystal effects.
Thanks for looking!

Toni I would never have guessed that mixed media was out of your comfort zone, you do it so fabulously!!! I loved the card you made for Robins challenge - gosh that must have freaked you out LOL. This is another MM gem AND it's CAS, I couldn't think of 2 more difficult techniques to combine. Love it!!!

Your MM card turned out great!! Glad you gave it a try today. I have problems with CAS cards but you combined MM and CAS perfectly on this! See you for the MIX challenge next week??...

Just like the mess of mixed media is uncomfortable for you Toni, all the white space of CAScards makes me nerveous. I always get splatters and smudges and they are hard to hide onCAS cards. I love the subtle writing paired with the bold black scalloped circle on your card. The pink sparkly stars look terrific. Faved

See, you can do it, beautifully and without mess. Except using loose glitter, LOL, I rate that as a messy process, even if you did seal it in afterwards. The textured base is a great background for your lovely CAS mixed media panel. Love the pink, black and white combo.
