The color combo for this challenge was Red/Black/Kraft, so I had to put my thinking cap on. I imagined all sorts of things with black roads and kraft colored hills, and a red truck, but somehow that just didn't gel for me. Instead, I remembered that I had bought a tree cutting tempate from Tanya Bell, an Australian SU Demonstrator on her web site at: http://stampingt.com.au/blog/downloads/lace-xmas-tree/ for $1.50 AU (I'm including the link because I'm sure to get asked where I got it). You just make straight cuts and then fold them over to let your background peek through.
The sentiment was stamped from the SU Happy Scenes set, then cut out with the label die from the SU Circle Card Framelits set. To create the red border around the white label, I simply drew around the outside of the die itself, then hand cut. The white card stock is mounted on the red using foam dimensionals.
A pretty quick card that would be great for mass production to send to friends... especially if you have a Silhouette digital cutter [which I don't :-( ] since Tanya will send the Studio file for free if you request it when you buy her printable PDF template.
