I have been AWOL from the gallery lately - I wish I could relate an exotic story about frolicking in some tropical paradise, but it has just been a case of too many "have to does" and too few "want to does". I know that this altered book appears to have nothing to do with our theme of keeping cool, but it really does fit...and I don'T even have to cheat. It also works for the CTO316 "where your heart is". I love my perfectly temperature controlled local library. The air conditioning is amazing...I wish they had sleep overs. The book that I used to make this altered book came from the library where they sell all used books for 25cents.
I always make very elaborate cards for my sons' birthdays, but I needed something extra special for my older son's 21st birthday. On the back of the book I have a lot of room to write about how proud we are, how much we love him, and to add my fav. quote..." When I took the leap I feared I would fall. Instead I learned I could fly". This is so perfect for someone turning 21.

The minutes I spotted this masterpiece in the gallery, I not only knew it would be your amazing creation, but I also new it would be for one of your sons. Everything about this is jaw dropping incredible and is so full of heart and love. Every inch of it tells a story and I didn't want your words above to end either. You are so talented Francie. Happy 21st to your son. Xx

Oh, Francie, this is so very COOL indeed, and I agree that this is jaw-dropping beautiful! I know that your son will LOVE it and cherish it, and your heart shows in this piece of art! I think I could look at it for an hour and still find something that would delight me. The details are amazing, and it is absolutely GORGEOUS and so handsome. It's so fitting too for your son's 21st birthday, as this young man sits on the rock ledge and considers the direction of his life. And what a wonderful your favorite quote on the back. Stunning, precious friend, and it's so nice to see something new in your gallery! I love all your amazing work! Big hugs! xoxo
