My sweet mother-in-law turns 91 next week, and as usual DH asked for a card with flowers. I wanted to add a butterfly to this but he said no - and she's his mother, it's his card to give, so no butterfly.
I wanted to play more with my curved borders, so I used those to create the bottom panel. After stamping and embossing the sentiment, I embossed the piece with Swiss Dots (hard to see) and layered it over the gold.
For the background, I used white paint and a TCW basketweave stencil. It had a tiny bit of colour on it which transferred to the paint, but I was happy with how that turned out.
The flowers and leaves were cut from watercolour paper and then coloured with Twinkling H2Os. I layered the whole thing on more gold card and then a white base.

Sabrina, this is popping with beautiful color. Great design...why do I forget to use my curved borders? I love them so much.

This is lovely, Sabriba. The hint of color showing through the basket weave looks fantastic with all the gold details. I have wanted to buy those curved borders, and now that I see how great your card looks, I think I need to go shopping. Those big red flowers are wonderful. Faved
