While I can't share the actual challenge details, I can share how I made this card. The stenciled background was made using gesso and distress ink. I keep confusing gesso with modeling paste...oh well, it doesn't really matter - there are NO rules in art (and they are both white, same shaped pot, made by the same company - any wonder I mix them up).
The little houses are a digi stamp, printed onto photocopy paper and then coloured with Prismacolour Pencils and highlighted with Spectrum Noir pens and Copics. Colouring on the el cheapo paper is a dream and it's super easy to fussy cut - I may never buy blending cardstock again!!
I chose this title because Splitcoaststampers is like a village to me. Thank you to everyone who contributes their time and shares their creativity to make this a truly wonderful place.

Susie, are you saying you printed the image out on regular printer paper? The thin stuff?? This is out of this world beautiful! You really know how to play with light! Your village just glows! Thanks so much for all you do to make SCS such a fun place!

This is in my top ten favorite "Susie masterpieces" of all time. I LOVE THIS CARD!!! Can you hear ,E shout that all the way in Australua. Great choices for the stencils and tge image. Pinned.
