While I can't share the actual challenge details, I can share how I made this card - quite possibly the most revolting card I have ever made.
Not only does it feel terrible to touch it has a smell that will outlast time. It was made especially for my friends 10 year old grandson, he loves spiders and anything that stinks...he is going to love this LOL.
I resurrected my gelli plate for this background. I stencilled on spiders and brickwalls and a bunch of other stuff that is hard to see here. For texture and rich colour I mixed a few good slurps of Wostershire sauce and cracked black pepper to acrylic paint.
I cut part of the front panel away so the spider webs look suspended. The entire card has thick, clear glue poured all over it. The glare from the glue made it hard to photograph, but trust me it looks suitably creepy for a 10 year old.
Thanks so much for looking. I hope you enjoyed this fabulous DTGD week. Only a few more challenges to go, I'm a bit sad this is ending!

Fun card Susie, Well I'm not much into spiders or smelly stuff but I had to smile when I read your description. This card sounds perfect for your friend's 10 year old grandson. You gotta love those big googly eyes. Love that you extended the web on the front. Hugs

WOW! NO clue how I missed this but SO glad I hunted it down! What a spectacular gelli! Who would have thought to use Worcestershire sauce and cracked black pepper! This is unbelievable, Susie and SO darned fun for a kid who loves spiders! I love the blurbs of color you achieved in that background.

Super card Susie...very creative. I bet it smells as "bad" as it looks. I only say that because I HATE spiders. If the boy you made this for really does love spiders and stinky stuff as much as you say he does then he is going to totally flip over this. Thanks for being a sample maker!! You rock.
